Miss Venezuela Menangkan Miss World 2011

London - Ivian Sarcos dari Venezuela menjadi Miss World 2011. Sementara, Astrid Ellena Indriana Yunadi asal Indonesia berada dalam 15 besar.

Ivian yang berusia 22 berhasil mengalahkan 112 perempuan cantik lainnya dari negara berbeda.

Perempuan kelahiran 26 Juli 1989 itu menangis saat rambut di kepalanya disematkan mahkota Miss Wolrd, oleh Miss World 2010 Alexandria Mills dari Amerika Serikat. Demikian berdasarkan rilis Missworld.

Acara puncak Miss World ke-61 dengan juri Miss World Julia Morley, Miss World 2009 Kaiane Aldorino dan Miss World 2007 Zilin Zhang, yang digelar di Earls Court Two, London, Inggris pada Minggu (6/11) malam ini menempatkan Miss Filipina Gwendoline Ruais sebagai juara kedua dan Miss Puerto Rico Amanda Perez menjadi juara ketiga.

Sementara itu perwakilan Indonesia Astrid Ellena Indriana Yunadi berhasil mhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.giferebut posisi 15 besar. Prestasi ini lumayan membanggakan, karena Ini pertama kalinya dalam sejarah Miss World, Indonesia berhasil masuk babak 15 besar.

Sebagaimana diketahui, Astrid Ellena sebelumnya memenangkan fast track kategori beauty with a purpose. Itu membuatnya langsung masuk menjadi 15 finalis terbaik Miss World 2011.

Astrid pun langsung bergabung dengan perwakilan Korea, Italia, Swedia, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Ukraina, Venezuela, Filipina, US VI, Spanyol, Puerto, Afrika Selatan, Skotlandia, dan Inggris. [ref]

Miss World ke-61, Miss Indonesia Masuk 15 Besar untuk Pertama Kali

Ajang Miss World baru saja digelar di London, Inggris, Minggu (6/11/2011). Finalis asal Indonesia Astrid Ellena Indriana Yunadi berhasil masuk dalam 15 besar.

Ini pertama kalinya seorang finalis asal Indonesia berhasil menjadi semi finalis. Astrid mengukir sejarah sebagai Miss Indonesia yang berhasil menjadi semi finalis dalam ajang yang sudah berlangsung selama 61 tahun itu.

Selain masuk dalam 15 besar, Astrid yang fasih berbahasa Inggris, Spanyol, dan Mandarin itu juga masuk dalam Top 11 Miss Talent karena kemahirannya bermain piano. Perempuan berusia 21 tahun itu pun menjadi pemenang Miss Beauty With A Purpose, karena aktivitasnya membantu penderita penyakit kaki gajah (filariasis).

Indonesia memang baru bergabung dengan Miss World pada 2006 lalu. Sebelumnya, pemegang gelar Miss Indonesia hanya diikutkan dalam ajang Miss Asean.

Tahun 2006 Kristania Virginia Besouw hanya berhasil masuk dalam daftar Top 20 Miss World Sport. Dan pada tahun-tahun berikutnya, Miss Indonesia hanya berhasil masuk dalam daftar terbaik selama rangkaian acara Miss World, tidak menjadi semi finalis saat malam puncak.ref: detikhot
