The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual for the position of Local Security Receptionist in the Regional Security Office (RSO).

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The incumbent serves as receptionist for the Local Security Office and is assigned to various locations as directed by the Regional Security Officer (RSO). S/He meets and greets all visitors to the U.S. Embassy, gives appropriate guidance and directions to visitors, and facilitates their arrival and departure from the Embassy compound. The receptionist will collect identification and issue appropriate badges, and will also serve as an interpreter for the RSO, ARSO and Marine Security Guard.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

1. Completion of secondary school is required plus one (1) year vocational training in secretarial skill.
2. Two (2) to four (4) years of progressively responsible front desks or receptionist experience are required.
3. Level III (Good Working Knowledge) speaking/reading/writing in English, and Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing in Bahasa Indonesia are required.
4. Must have good working knowledge of Local Police department officers and GOI (Government of Indonesia) officers.
5. Must be professional, neat in appearance, respectful and cognizant of the many diverse races, nationalities and cultures of people visiting the U.S. Embassy. Possess good interpersonal skills, being tactful in a situation, and have good judgment skills.
6. Computer, typing, and clerical skills are required.
