Geologist (Sulawesi Tenggara - Kendari)
Responsibilities:
- Develop & Manage Exploration Plan
- Plan detailed exploration of the Nickel concession, possibly other minerals
- Able to calculate reserve estimation from borehole data
- Plan borehole drilling patterns and drill hole logs
- Lead and monitor a team of exploration in daily tasks, such as mapping, surveying and drilling
- Coordinate with mining department regarding future mining plans and pit limit markings
- Coordinate with Human and Resources Department, regarding marking of land of different owners
- Communicate with surveyor regarding topographic survey
- Develop Geological & Geotechnical System
- Generate & Up date Geological Procedures
- Responsible for reliable Geological Model
- Manage & Develop Safety System within department
- Able to use AutoCAD and other Geology software
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics, Engineering (Mining/Mineral) or equivalent
- Having more than 3 years experience in Exploration & Open Cut Mining Operation
- Strong in analysis and evaluation to check the potentiality of new mine concession and must have good reporting skill
- AutoCAD is a must
- Peferably well spoken and written in English
- Ready to work in remote area and station in Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara
- Have good interpersonal skill and attitude
- Leadership qualities is a must
Responsibilities:
- Develop Long-term and Short-term mining plans
- Responsible for the design, optimization and scheduling aspects of open pit mining projects
- Ensures the safe and economically sound development of mines and other surface and underground operations
- Liaising with engineers, geologists and other staff
- Assessing new mining sites and the viability of new mining ventures
- Undertaking feasibility studies
- Modeling/designing potential mine sites
- Providing consultancy and advice on mining and mineral extraction projects
- Preferably Male, age 22-40 years old
- Bachelor degree in Mine Engineering with minimum GPA 3.00 (scale 4.00).
- Possess minimum 3 years experience in the same position specialized in Nickel mines is an advantage.
- Ability to used modeling/mining software (Autocad, Mapinfo, Surpact or Minescape)
- Understanding in mining operation like Overburden and Coal Production, Drilling and Blasting, Fleet Management, Heavy Equipment and Supporting Understanding in Cost Analysis, Material and Transportation/Coal Handling System
- Familiar in handling heavy equipments to support mine operations activities
- Highly motivated, have good communication skills, negotiation skills, independent and dynamic with capacity to work under pressure in fast-paced and challenging environment, hard worker, and have good integrity
- Computer literacy and proficiency in written and spoken English
- Willing to be located in Kendari (Sulawesi Tenggara)
